Environment Canada Gives Its Predictions For Spring

We can look forward to a warm and wet spring in Nova Scotia.

Environment Canada meteorologist Ian Hubbard tells us what their long-range models reveal.

“For most of the Maritimes we should expect to see some temperatures slightly above normal. In terms of precipitation, we’re expected them to be slightly above normal as well going into April and May and the start of June.”

Hubbard says right now we’re experiencing some weak El Nino conditions but he says that doesn’t affect our spring weather.

He says El Nino has more of an impact during the hurricane season which runs from June 1 to November 30.
