MP Bernadette Jordan announces $362,000 In Funding For Women Unlimited

More funding is on the way for women in trades and technology.

MP Bernadette Jordan made the announcement at the NSCC Lunenburg Campus today.

The federal government is giving $362,000 to Women Unlimited in Nova Scotia.

Jordan says the money will also help the Women 150 Network which connects women across the country.

“Promote women equality and help develop policy,” she says.

“And apprenticeship – making sure the apprenticeship program is not as gender biased, maybe.”

Women Unlimited will join the Women 150 Network which brings Nova Scotia concerns to a National level.

Jordan says this will help them frame policy.
