A 25 year old man aboard a fishing vessel was airlifted to the Yarmouth Regional Hospital earlier this morning.
Lt. Linda Coleman, a spokesperson for the Department of National Defence, says a Cormorant helicopter was dispatched in response to a mayday call from the vessel ‘Princess Paisley’.
She says the vessel was off the coast of Cape Sable Island at the time.
Sean Arbour with the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre in Halifax says they are very busy, responding to several calls for assistance.
