The risk of electric shock has prompted IKEA to pull GOTHEM floor and table lamps off the shelf.
IKEA says damaged cables becoming electrically live are a safety hazard.
The company is not reporting any injuries but did receive three complaints of electric shock possibly caused by the lights.
IKEA urges customers to return any lamps working or not.
Customers should return GOTHEM lamps at the Returns & Exchange department at any IKEA store or call IKEA Customer Service toll-free, 1-800-661-9807 for a full refund. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required by IKEA for this recall.
