Gas to go up 9.3 cents a litre at midnight; sources

Another big jump in gas prices at midnight.

Regular gas will increase by 9.3 cents a litre, according to sources.

That will put the price around around $1.62 a litre on average in Nova Scotia.

The province’s energy board has once again invoked their interrupter clause.

It’s due to market shifts in the price of fuel.

The conflict in Iran has driven up fuel prices in recent weeks.

The price of diesel is not affected by tonight’s increase, it’s averaging $2.16 a litre.
