What’s happening on YOUR South Shore | March 18–24

The South Shore Centre continues its March Break celebration with a different activity each day.

Wednesday, March 18 – Kids Bingo (12–2pm): Bridgewater & Area Lions Club hosts an afternoon of kid‑friendly bingo fun.


Thursday, March 19 – Sing & Dance with Donna & Andy (12:30pm): ECMA‑nominated entertainers take the stage for a lively music-and-dance session.


Friday, March 20 – Science Fun (11am–2:15pm): Hands‑on science activities wrap up the March Break lineup.

Gary L. Wentzell March Break Hockey Tournament


March 16–22 (continues through the 18th–22nd)
Hockey fans can catch ongoing tournament action all week as teams face off in this annual March Break competition. This event continues right through March 18–22, offering lots of rink‑side excitement.

Soap Making Workshop
March 20–21
A hands‑on workshop where participants learn the craft of making their own soap. This two‑day experience begins March 20 and continues into March 21st perfect for DIY types looking for something new to try.

Bingo Night

Have fun and win prizes at the Milton Hall on March 23rd starting at 5PM!

  • Ben Holmes has lived on the South Shore of Nova Scotia for most of his life and has a deep passion for the culture and community of Nova Scotia and the Maritimes. He believes strongly in the importance of radio and other local media, and the role they play in keeping communities informed, connected, and entertained.
    He is the host of “Breakfast With Ben” on CKBW in Bridgewater. When he is not talking, at least not into a microphone, Ben enjoys spending time outdoors, cycling, watching films, taking road trips, and being around family and friends.
