Renovations Underway At Bridgewater EHS Base

The property housing paramedics in Bridgewater is getting a $200,000 renovation.

Work has begun to provide an updated training facility inside the building along with updated living quarters, office space, a new furnace and air conditioning.

The outside will feature new front and back doors, additional parking and a new driveway.

Don Abbey, President and CEO of BFB Buildings Inc., says he wanted to make sure the property is a valuable resource.

“And, all of these things are basically things to help them meet or exceed their operational standards when it comes to the building.”

Abbey says once finished, the renovated building and property should serve Bridgewater paramedics for roughly 10 years.

Work started in February.

“At the time when we started, we almost thought we could asphalt the parking lot but then of course we got all that snow and couldn’t do it. But, we hope to have it completely finished on the outside by the end of April.”

He says the Town of Bridgewater was extremely helpful and calls it a great place to do business.
