Charles Richard Clements

CLEMENTS, Charles Richard – Age 89, of Baker Settlement, NS. With sadness and love we announce the passing of Charles Richard Clements, on May 31, 2026, at Ridgewood Assisted Living, in Bridgewater. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late George and Phillis (Oickle) Clements.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Christine (MacLellan); son, Brian (Andrea) Clements, Bridgewater; daughters, Sharon (Donnie) Henley, Baker Settlement, Cindy Brine, Ottawa; brothers, Wayne (Joan) and David (Jaci); sister, Brenda; grandchildren, Nina, Kayla, Steven (Sam), Jessica (Ryan), Jillian (Cody), Katherine (Olena), Ian, Kaiden (Kaitlyn), Matthea, Matthew and Jen; and great-grandchildren, Adele, Kadence, Odessa, Bria, Tess, Tucker, Fletcher, James and Eli, who where his pride and joy.

He was predeceased by his son, Blair Clements; and sisters, Sheila and Carol.

He was a dedicated electrician for many years with provincial electric, earning the respect of his colleagues, with his strong work ethic. He took pride in his trade and the many relationships he built throughout his career. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, travelling with his wife, caring for his yard and took great pride in stacking his wood to perfection.

Charles also loved golfing and spent many hours on the golf course with friends and family. He spent many happy years at his cottage, where he created countless cherished memories with family and friends. His love for the area led him to build a home in East Clifford and after many years eventually moving to Knox Rd., in Baker Settlement. Charles will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love for the outdoors and the many memories he created with those who loved him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all the lives he touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends, on Sunday June 7th, 2026, at the Baker Settlement Community Centre, 5092 Highway 325 Baker Settlement, from 2 – 4 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater.

Thank you to all the staff at Ridgewood Assisted Living for their exceptional care and kindness over the past 15 months, as well as South Shore Palliative Care, VON, and Dr. Maggie Lovett.
