It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kelly Andrew Veinot, 58, of Pinehurst, announces his peaceful passing on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Queens General Hospital in Liverpool. Born in Bridgewater, he was the beloved son of the late Hilton and Diane (Simpson) Veinot.

Kelly was a man of hard work and diverse passions. He began his career at just sixteen in the forestry sector, dedicating twenty years to the industry. He later followed his passion for vehicles by opening his own auto sales business, where he was known for his remarkable memory—often recalling the exact mileage of every car on his lot. From 2013 onward, he also spent his winters serving his community as a snow plow operator for the Department of Transportation. An avid car enthusiast, Kelly restored many vehicles over the years, with his 1978 Nova holding a special place in his heart.

Beyond his love for cars, Kelly had an incredibly kind heart for animals, especially cats. His compassion was clear when he rescued seven kittens at once, ensuring they were fully vetted, spayed, and neutered before welcoming them into the family home.

Above all, Kelly’s greatest joy was his family. He was immensely proud of his children and absolutely adored his grandchildren, whom he loved to spoil at every opportunity.

Kelly is lovingly remembered by his wife, Kim Burgoyne; his children, Nicolas, Marissa, and Mitchell; and his cherished grandchildren, Ollie, Kylen, Zenith, Isaiah, Cierra, Brantley and Mya May. He is also survived by his brothers, Blair (Sherlyn) of Bridgewater, Wade (Tracey) of Pinehurst, and John of Pinehurst, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Kelly’s explicit wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public memorial service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Personal Care Cremations & Memorial Services. In lieu of flowers, the family would deeply appreciate donations made in Kelly’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society.
