A Yarmouth County man suffered serious injuries as the result of a collision involving a car and an ATV.
Cpl. Jen Clarke says Yarmouth Rural RCMP members were dispatched to the scene on Highway 308 in Tusket around 5:45 last night.
She said officers located the driver of the ATV, unconscious, injured and laying on the road.
He is identified as a 19-year-old man from Quinan.
He was not wearing a helmet.
The man was transported to hospital by paramedics.
Police also located his ATV, which was damaged and was overturned, and also a small car that had been damaged.
Cpl . Clarke says investigators determined that the ATV was travelling in the same direction as the car, and was attempting to pass it, when the car turned left into a driveway.
The ATV struck the car on the driver’s side.
The driver of the car had minor cuts and scratches.
