Chester Golfers Make History

A pair of siblings from Chester have made Nova Scotia golf history.

Allison and Matthew Chandler became the first brother and sister combination to win the NSGA junior championships.

She carded a final round four-over par, 76, to win the junior girls title by one shot.

The 17 year-old will lead Nova Scotia at the Canadian Junior Girls Championship at Deer Park Golf Club in Yorkton, Saskatchewan from August 4-7.

Meanwhile, younger brother Matthew captured his first provincial title by seven shots to win the juvenile and junior divisions.

The 16 year-old will represent Nova Scotia at the Canadian Junior Boys Championship at Summerlea Golf Club in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec from August 3-6.
