Privateers Lose NSJHL Final in Six Games to Pictou

The historic playoff run by the Liverpool Privateers has come to an end.

The Privateers lost game six last night, 8-5 to the Pictou County Scotians.

Pictou won the series, four games to two.

Connor MacDougall scored twice for the Privateers.

Other goals were scored by Brandon Pottie, Morgan d’Entremont and Kaleb Sanford.

Goaltender Cory Peterson stopped 31 shots.

This was Liverpool’s first time playing for the NSJHL title after winning the Fred Fox Division.

Pictou advances to the Don Johnson Memorial Cup in Fredericton, New Brunswick on April 25 to face the top Junior ‘B’ hockey teams in the Atlantic region.
