The Charlottetown Islanders have recalled Lumberjacks forward Josh Shatford.
He joined the Islanders on Tuesday after the ‘Jacks were eliminated from the playoffs.
Charlottetown is currently tied with Shawinigan 2-2 in their second round QMJHL best of 7 series.
In other Lumberjacks news, Defenceman Gareth Nicholson is the winner of the 2016 MHL Scholastic Player Award.
Nicholson, a student at St. Mary’s University, has a 4.0 GPA entering the final weeks of the current school year.
Nicholson will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
He is also one of ten finalists for the national academic award, which carries with it an additional $5,000 in scholarship money.
The winner of the national award will be revealed during the RBC Cup, which will take place from May 14-21st in Lloydminster, Alberta.
