Lacey Hopes NS Government Controls Spending To Balance Books

Budget day is tomorrow in Nova Scotia.

And the Atlantic Director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation is looking for the province to issue a plan on how it’s going to balance the books.

The last fiscal update from the province indicated a deficit of $241.2-million.

Kevin Lacey says it’s unacceptable.

“Nova Scotia taxpayers pay some of the highest taxes in all of Canada and at the same time we’re still spending beyond our means.”

Lacey says the government needs to take a stand against its own spending.

Finance Minister Randy Delorey will deliver the budget at the Nova Scotia Legislature Tuesday in Halifax.
