The majority of South Shore runners competing at the Boston Marathon finished in under four hours.
Five of the eight men and women completed the 42-kilometre trek in that time frame.
Marco Albright of Yarmouth posted the best time among locals, finishing in 3 hours, 4 minutes.
It was good enough to place in the top 2,100 out of 30,000 runners.
Meanwhile, Lemi Berhanu Hayle won the men’s race in 2 hours, 12 minutes and 45 seconds.
Atsede Baysa took the women’s race in 2 hours, 29 minutes and 19 seconds.
Both winners are from Ethiopia.
