Several fire departments responded to a major blaze in Shelburne County last night.
View Point Realty offices were destroyed and the building that once housed a medical clinic had to be levelled with an excavator.
Islands and Barrington Passage Fire Chief Brian Nickerson said there were no flames visible but smoke was coming out from under the eaves when he first arrived.
“It got worse as it was going along. We couldn’t get at it because it was in the attic.”
Nickerson says the cause hasn’t been determined.
No one was hurt.
Fire fighters from Shelburne and Yarmouth Counties cleared the scene around 4:15 this morning.
