RCMP Ask Public To Drink Responsibly After String Of Alcohol Involved Incidents

RCMP are reminding people to drink responsibly this season after responding to a couple of incidents involving alcohol.

Around 4:00pm Thursday, RCMP received a call about a vehicle driving erratically.

Once it was was pulled over, the driver blew more than three times the legal limit on the breathylizer.

They were arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle by Alcohol.

A short time later, RCMP responded to five 9-1-1 calls regarding an intoxicated male committing various offences in the New Germany area.

Forty-one year-old Shawn Patrick Huntley of Bedford was arrested and charged with several assault and weapons offences.

He appeared in Bridgewater Provincial Court Friday where he was remanded into custody.

Huntley is scheduled to return to court December 28th.
