Shocking news on the local curling scene as Mary Fay has decided to walk away from the sport.
I’ll cherish the memories forever & want to wish my teammates all the best @CurlingCanada @CurlingZone @team_fay pic.twitter.com/S3VZglOBmG

The 17 year-old has decided to attend school at Queens University and focus on her education.
The team announced it has immediately started the search to someone new for next season.
It has been a magical season for the Fay team.
They won gold at the Nova Scotia Junior Curling Championships before winning the Canadian Juniors.
Fay, along with teammate Karlee Burgess also helped Canada win gold at the Youth Winter Olympics in Norway.
The team then won the World Junior Curling Championships in Denmark.
Fay missed this week’s Champions Cup event to study for exams – the team went 1 and 3 and didn’t qualify for the playoffs.
All the best to Mary Fay, and to the team as they search for a fourth! It was a pleasure meeting you this week! https://t.co/r8uPb2h9ra
