More Women Join Nova Scotia Legislature

One third of the Nova Scotia Legislature will be filled with women.

MLA-elect Kim Masland, who represents Queens-Shelburne says she’s excited and proud to be among them.

She says it’s good to see more women putting their names forward for public office.

“Extremely exciting to see the climate for women in politics changing for the better.”

Masland says women have a unique perspective and it’s important to include their voices when making decisions for Nova Scotians.

She says she can’t wait to get to work.
