Hundreds of people exercised for a good cause this weekend.
Three fundraising walks in Lunenburg County took place, including one for ALS.
Volunteer John Garroway says more people turned out this year than any other year.
He says that means more money was raised.
“It was our best walk ever,” he says, ” We’re over 27,000 [dollars], and we’re pretty sure it will be higher.”
Meanwhile, attendance may have been down for the Crohn’s and Colitis walk but it still raised $17,000.
And Relay for Life had 17 teams this year.
They raised over $36,000.
