A Bridgewater volunteer firefighter is gunning for a new personal best this weekend in Ontario.
Twenty-nine year-old Ryan Buck is heading to Kitchener to compete at the National Firefit Championships.
He’s looking forward to the challenge.
“Training is good, everything has been good and I’m looking forward to it. I’m excited to get up there and run to see if our new philosophy of training has paid off or not.”
Buck started training a lit bit later this year to try and peak at nationals and next month’s world championships.
He is also hoping to finish in the top 30.
