Keji, NSCC Offer Fall Culinary Hike

A unique hike is being offered by the Nova Scotia Community College and Parks Canada.

Culinary Arts students and the federal agency are inviting hikers to take to the trails at Kejimkujik National Park on October 3rd.

Parks Canada’s Ted Dolan says the 90-minute hike along the Mersey River is a chance to enjoy the fall colours and local harvest.

“We’ll have multiple locations along the Mill Falls Trail then they cross over the river on to the Beach Grove Trail. There will be a few food stations along that trail.”

Gourmet food stations will feature local dishes paired with samples from a local distillery, breweries and vineyards.

The cost is $25 per person and the deadline for reservations is Thursday October 1.

Reservations can be made by calling (902) 682-2653 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily, or by email here.
