Fresh Air Films Returns

Lights, camera, action! outdoor films are heading back to Bridgewater next month.

Fresh Air Films are gearing up for their fourth season.

President Tony Lantz says it’s a great opportunity for the community to get together.

“The fact that we have between 300 and 400 people come out to every single movie, I would say there’s absolute value in it,” he says. “The reason I got involved is because I love movies and to get to share that with the rest of the community is awesome.”

This year organizers are pushing back the start date by two weeks, hoping to avoid both prom and Canada Day which has affected turn out in the past.

Lantz expects the films they’ve chosen to be popular.

“I would like to say that Jurassic World is probably going to be one of our bigger ones and I’m hoping Cool Runnings will be a big draw as well.”

Lantz says they’re also taking the opportunity to show off some local musical talent.

The festival will kick off with Minions July 8th at Shipyards landing.
