New President Takes Over Bridgewater and Area Chamber of Commerce

The new president of the Bridgewater and Area Chamber of Commerce hopes to grow membership.

Shawn Patterson replaced Sam Bates following this week’s annual general meeting.

Patterson, the community sales manager with the Chronicle Herald, says he is also hoping to engage members.

“Deliver some workshops that our members are interested in and work more closely with the other local chambers.”

Patterson, who grew up in Bridgewater, says great things are happening in the town and he wants to be a part of it.

He says membership is strong but there is room to grow.

His first meeting as president will be July 8 at the chamber’s office at 373 King Street.
