The motto of never letting the bad guys win stuck with Private Richard Green.
He was remembered at Forest Heights Community School on Friday – a school he graduated from in 1998.
Private Green died in 2002 while serving Canada in Afghanistan.
Prinicipal Miles Page says a monument at the school will serve as a daily reminder of Green’s sacrifice.
“It’s great as a reminder for students to appreciate what sacrifices have been made, similar to what they would see every Remembrance Day, this one just touches home a little more.”
Green was remembered as a soft-hearted man, who loved Rambo movies.
The monument is located near the school in Chester Grant, by the walkway to the front entrance.
