d’Entremont Says Government Has Broken Another Promise To The South Shore.

PC Health Critic Chris d’Entremont says government has broken another promise to the South Shore.

The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners program provides medical examination and forensic evidence collection for victims of sexual assault.

The contract to provide SANE services to the South Shore was supposed to be awarded by late spring.

It hasn’t yet and d’Entremont says responsibility falls directly on the government.

“It is the minister that promised the positions would be filled and it’s time the minister stands up and at least tries to be accountable to this problem and actually fix the problem himself.”

The Health Authority’s Everton MacLean says the contracting process is almost complete and an announcement is coming in the next week
