Government Support Down In Latest Poll

Nova Scotia’s PC Party is gaining ground in the latest poll.

Corporate Research Associates released numbers today that show support for the PCs is up five percent since November.

The governing Liberals are holding fast at 37 percent voter support.

The NDP saw a two point dip to 25 percent while the Greens lost a point to sit at five percent support among decided voters.

A quarter of Nova Scotians are undecided according to this latest poll.

Among party leaders, Premier Stephen McNeil is at the head of the pack with 27 percent support.

Interim PC leader Karla MacFarlane has seen a bump over former party leader Jamie Ballie. She enjoys 25 percent compared to Baillie’s 21.

The NDP’s Gary Burrill’s support is on the rise from 18 percent three months ago to 21 today.

However, support for the McNeil government is at an all-time low, dipping to 38 percent.

These results are part of a telephone survey of 800 adult Nova Scotians, conducted from February 1 to March 4.

Results accurate to within plus or minus 3.5 percentage points, 95 out of 100 times.
