NSCC is set to partner with a Bridgewater business to help encourage entrepreneurship.
Mashup Lab will be at the Community College’s Lunenburg campus to make the announcement tomorrow night.
CEO of Mashup Lab Andrew Button says the partnership is the result of months of work.
“The connection with NSCC is really intuitive. They have a keen interest in both entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial thinking.”
While he couldn’t go into details, Mashup Lab CEO Andrew Button says the new initiative will be rolled out across the province.
“What I can say is that it’s probably the most exciting opportunity that I’ve seen for Mashup Lab and entrepreneurship in rural communities across Nova Scotia in five years I’ve been working in the space.”
Button says the event will include presentations by people who have gone through part of Mashup Lab’s Dream Business program and will show the process involved in developing your idea into a business.
He hopes the new program will help encourage people to start their own businesses in rural areas.
Full details will be announced at the event being held at 7:00pm tomorrow night.
