Seasonal Cottages In Lunenburg County Targeted For Break Ins

RCMP is investigating after receiving five complaints of break and enters in to seasonal cottages and sheds.

The break ins occurred between February 25 and March 3 in the New Russell area in Lunenburg and the Murphy Lake area in Kings County.

In a statement, RCMP told cottage owners to take extra steps to secure property including avoiding storing ATVs and other items of value at seasonal cottages and camps.

They also encouraged the use of video surveillance such as trail cams to deter criminals.

Police are asking residents to report any suspicious activity and take note of details such as descriptions of suspicious people and vehicles.
