The dreaded flu season is back in Nova Scotia.
Health and Wellness Minister Leo Glavine says the flu vaccine is the safest and most effective way to protect yourself.
It is available from most pharmacies, family doctors, nurse practitioners and local clinics.
Everyone is encouraged to get the flu shot but there are others who are at high-risk.
They include pregnant women, seniors and children under five years-old.
Flu symptoms can include headache, fatigue and a runny, stuffy nose, sneezing and sore throat.
Last year, 40 per cent of Nova Scotians received the flu shot.
