The Municipality of Chester is having trouble with garbage pick up.
According to Council the problem is with those items that are too big and are considered “special waste”.
Councillor Andre Veinotte says the current system isn’t working for the community.He says a better plan might be one truck used as needed.
“The guy comes to pick up the stuff,” he says. “If it’s not going to work than often times that interaction can happen right there.”
Veinotte says he’s not sure this plan is feasible, but he’d like to hear some radical new ideas that will help the service work better.
