One person was arrested today following a hold and secure at Liverpool Regional High School.
School doors were locked for roughly 20 minutes before 1 p.m after threats were made by a 17 year-old boy.
Staff Sgt. Paul MacDougall says they arrested the boy away from school property.
He says they are not sure if there was a weapon involved.
“Although a weapon was mentioned in the nature of the threat, but there was no weapons at the scene, no weapon has been recovered and truly at this point in time, I couldn’t say if a weapon exists.”
Police are interviewing staff and witnesses about the incident.
No charges have been laid.
