Coproral Jennifer Clarke tells Acadia News that the accident involved five vehicles and happened on Highway 103 in Eel Lake just after 4 p.m. Monday.
She says it occurred in a construction zone.
“Several people were transported to hospital, however even though there were that many vehicles involved, there were no fatalities and police are trying to determine what happened.”
“It was a very chaotic scene for our members and the other first responders.”
She did not know the extent of injuries.
A section of Highway 103 was closed down for about two-and-a-half hours but has since been reopened.
