Municipal and town councillors from across the South Shore are meeting in Western Shore tonight. The annual gathering will be used to introduce people to one another as well as discuss some items including the Ivany Report, public engagement and regional cooperation. The meeting will include representatives from the town of Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and the Region of Queens. Chester Warden Allen Webber says it will also introduce the town of Shelburne, Municipality of Shelburne and town of Lockeport to the group “And that’s because we’re expanding our economic zone into a REN that includes them as partners, so we felt they should be at the table too.” The meeting gets underway after 5:30 tonight at Atlantica Oak Island.
