Chandler Hopes To Keep Momentum Going At Nationals

Chester’s Allison Chandler is ready for another steep challenge.
She is among the nation’s top junior golfers competing at the Links at Penn Hills in Shubenacadie this week in the Canadian Junior Girls Championship.
The 18 year-old finished tied for 22nd at last year’s event.
“With it being my last year especially I just want to try and improve on my finish and representing my province at nationals is definitely one of the best golfing experiences of the summer.”
She is committed to play golf for Gardner-Webb in North Carolina, an NCAA division one school.
Chandler has had an exceptional summer, winning the CN Atlantic Future Links Championship and provincial junior girls crown.
She says the course features some tough holes and it should be a good challenge.
Round one gets underway on Tuesday.
Chandler is one of six Nova Scotians in the field.
