Bridgewater: Construction Limiting Traffic On Section Of King Street

Construction work is causing further traffic disruptions in downtown Bridgewater.

Vehicles are not able to travel south on King Street between Dominion Street and Dufferin Street from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. now until Friday.

It will also be in effect next Monday and Tuesday.

Communications Coordinator, Patrick Hirtle, says it’s necessary work to complete.

“There are two water lines the run beneath Old Bridge that need to be integrated and connected into the new system, the new pipes that are in the ground as part of ‘Take Back The Riverbank’ and they’re going to be working on that.”

Old Bridge Street will also be closed to traffic next Monday and Tuesday at the same times.

Drivers accessing King Street from Dufferin will still be able to pass through the Old Bridge intersection during the work.
