The South Shore was recognized at the East Coast Music Awards.
The thirtieth annual ECMAs took place over the weekend.
It featured live shows and workshops as well as the opportunity for many of the regions busiest performers to catch up.
Hardware was handed out in a number of categories as well.
Leading the way for the South Shore were Joel Plaskett and his father Bill who were nominated in four categories.
They came away with Songwriter of the Year honours.
Event of the Year went to the the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival.

And Spincount, a Bridgewater-based promotions and publicity firm went home with the ECMA award for Company of the Year.
