Turkish Airline Plane Diverted To Halifax After Bomb Threat

Another plane has been diverted to Halifax after a bomb threat.

RCMP say Turkish Airlines Flight #2 landed at Halifax Stanfield International Airport just before 1 a.m.

It was travelling from New York to Istanbul.

All 256 passengers and crew are safe.

The RCMP searched the plane and luggage and no explosive device was found.

This is the second plane that was diverted to Halifax this week due to a bomb threat.

Air France Flight 55 landed on Tuesday night with 262 people aboard.

Police searched the plane and found no explosives.

That flight left Halifax on its way to France early Thursday morning.
