A dose of wet weather for the South Shore.
Environment Canada is forecasting between 60-90 millimetres of rain between now and Monday night for Lunenburg, Queens, Shelburne and Yarmouth counties.
The weather agency says we can expect heavy downpours this afternoon into tonight and tomorrow before it tapers off.
The wind will gust up to 50 km/h over the next 36 hours.
People are encouraged to check the drainage around their property to make sure it’s clear.
You can also expect poor driving conditions with standing water on roads and reduced visibility due to the heavy rain.
The forecast calls for temperatures to dip Monday night, which could cause flurries and slick driving conditions on Tuesday morning.
