Travis Parks had a goal and two assists to help pace the Charlie’s Pizza South Shore Mustangs beat the Cape Breton West Islanders 3-1 last night in Port Hood. Connor Lowden and Dawson Wood also scored for the Mustangs while Keaghan Larade turned aside 39 shots in the victory. The two teams will play each other again today in Cape Breton.
The South Shore Lumberjacks dropped a 3-1 decision to the Dieppe Commandos. Cray Roberge had the lone goal for the ‘Jacks while Bailey Stephens stopped 20 shots in the loss. The Lumberjacks are in Truro for a 2 p.m contest today against the Bearcats.
The O’Regan’s Subaru Western Hurricanes had their three game winning streak snapped by the Bedford Barons. The Barons doubled the Hurricanes 4-2 yesterday in Liverpool at Queens Place Emera Centre. Kurtis Lang had both goals for the Hurricanes while Jeremy Robar stopped 25 shots in the loss. The two teams meet again today at 11 a.m in Liverpool.
The Park View Panthers boys hockey team shutout Avon View 6-0.
Adam Gardner scored twice to help the Liverpool Privateers to a 6-4 win over the Sackville Blazers last night at Queens Place Emera Centre. Cory Peterson stopped 40 shots for the Privateers.
