UPDATE: Police Investigate Second Bomb Threat In 12 Hours

The RCMP is looking into a second bomb threat today, affecting flights at Halifax International Airport.

Police responded after the airport received a threat by phone against Westjet Flight 229 from Halifax to Calgary.

The plane was still in the terminal.

Seventy-five people were on board and exited the aircraft.

It was searched by police and a canine unit but nothing was found.

Early this morning, Turkish Airlines flight #2 landed in Halifax after a bomb threat.

It was traveling from New York to Istanbul when it was diverted.

No explosives were found. It’s the third bomb threat in less than a week.
