Group Fights For Better Internet

A growing group is fed up with bad or non-existent broadband internet.

About 150 people from all over Lunenburg county have come together to demand better service.

Elspeth Mclean-Wile, from Wileville, says they want local government to help them find a permanent solution.

“It should be designated an essential service,” She says. “It’s the way people stay connected with family. It’s the way they run their ordinary personal lives. It’s the way they run their business lives.”

The group met with the Municipality of Lunenburg and asked them to make rural broadband service a priority.

McLean-Wile says they’re not looking for a quick fix.
