There are over 900 license holders in LFA 34, which includes parts of Shelburne, Yarmouth and Digby county.
Another 700 are in LFA 33, which includes the South Shore and parts of Halifax county.
Preliminary figures from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans suggest almost 31,000 tonnes of lobster landed last season.
It’s a value of roughly $396-million.
