Friday, Dec 6th

• Christmas Gift Gallery of Unique Creations 10:00AM – 8PM Located at the waterfront entrance of the former Bargain Shop. Creative works of all sorts, including jewelry, wood working, skin care products, painting, food, preserves, jams and so much more.

• Special Holiday Meals at Liverpool Restaurants 5PM

• Efficiency NS Holiday LED Light Exchange 6:15 to 7:15 pm , Main St. Entrance to Home Hardware. Trade in 2 sets of incandescent lights for 1 set LED lights per person.

• Official Christmas Tree Light-Up Ceremony 6:30-7PM Old Town Hall

• Parade of Light to Lanes parking lot led by Santa and Mrs. Clause along with The King’s Orange Rangers 7:00PM Voluntary donation of $5 for a candle to carry in the parade – proceeds go to the Food Bank

• Joining of the First Nations paddlers with the parade at the Great Fire Pit

• Blessing of the Fire 7:30PM • Hot chocolate and cookies and Christmas Carols with the choir

• Live Entertainment in Lanes Privateers Pub

Saturday, Dec 7th

• Charleston Fireman’s Christmas Breakfast- Sat. Dec 7 time 7:00-11:00AM Charleston Fire Hall This is a fun way to start the day for only $7.00

• Children’s Craft Day 10:30AM – at the Lions Community Centre, Gorham St.. Sponsored by Reynolds PharmaChoice with Christmas crafts, lunch and a movie. The registration form will be in the Advance November 25th and Dec 2nd.

• Community Caroling at many venues during the day 11:00am – 5:00PM The staging site is the Legion Hall, a cozy area in which to warm up. Sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary with a bar, food and hot chocolate.

• Christmas House Tour by Privateer Days Committee. 1 – 5PM Tickets $20.00 available at Lanes Privateer Inn by Nov. 25

• Family Skate 3:15 – 5:15PM – at Queens Place Emera Centre. Entry requires a donation to the Food Bank. Santa and friends will host the skating with music, hot chocolate and treats.

• Chili Supper and Dessert Buffet 5-7PM at The United Church. This has become a Christmas tradition with great food and the Queens County Girls Choir performing during supper. Tickets are $12.00 and must be purchased in advance from a choir member or by contacting qcgirlschoir@gmail.com

• “A Christmas Carol” 7PM at the Astor Theatre. This is an amazing version of the famous Christmas story performed by actor, Jeremy Webb. It is highly entertaining and very humorous – a must see. Admission $20.00 for adults or $12.00 for students.

Sunday, Dec 8th

• Story Telling 1:30PM – Rossignol Cultural Centre, Church Street

• Curling Instruction 1:30 – 4:00PM – Liverpool Curling Club, Gorham St. Beginning curlers and never-ever curlers are invited for instruction with a fun bonspiel following the training. The bar is open and there will be snacks available. A donation to the Food Bank is required for participation.

• Ecumenical Service 2:00PM – The Legion Hall – Drop in for a service of lessons and carols.

• Lobster Chowder Supper 4-6PM – Port Medway Fire Hall. This unique event costs $12.00, and is in support of The Medway Head Lighthouse Society

• Hank Snow Christmas 7:00PM – The Astor Theatre. Admission is $7 at the door. Enjoy the best of our local musical performers as they offer you classic Christmas songs.
