The Municipality of Lunenburg is the latest to hop on the e-voting bandwagon.
The technology will be used for advanced polls only in the municipal election next October.
But, Mayor Don Downe says it won’t be long until the whole process is electronic.
“We seem to be, probably, more aggressively moving more towards that in Nova Scotia then in other jurisdictions.”
He says they hope the convenience of the new technology will increase voter turnout.
It’s expected to cost around $38,000.
