People are learning mental health first aid in Lunenburg county.
About 10 people are participating in the course.
Heather MacKenzie-Carey says what she’s learning will be valuable.
“I think the chances of you using this are much greater than you breaking out your physical first aid kit and helping somebody,” she says.
She says she was excited by the opportunity to learn how to help people around her.
She hopes classes like this will become more mainstream in the future.
