A Lunenburg County man has died following an ATV accident at South Shore in Motion in Bridgewater last night.
Police Chief John Collyer says the 44-year-old was taking part in an ATV drag race at the Exhibition Grounds when he crashed at around 8:20.
“He was immediately given medical care at the scene,” he says. “He was transported by ambulance to South Shore Regional Hospital where he passed away at approximately 9:40 p.m. last night.
Collyer says no one else was injured.
He’s asking anyone who witnessed the accident or may have video to contact Bridgewater Police.

Event organizer Darren Wentzell says the rest of the event will go on as scheduled.
Wentzell says along with the police they will be conducting their own internal investigation over the coming days.
