Firefighters Keeping Fires Contained

The Department of Natural Resources says there has been no significant change to the wildfire situation across Nova Scotia.

Firefighters continue to work on extinguishing fires at Ten Mile Lake in Queens, Maitland Bridge and Seven Mile Lake in Annapolis County and Perch Lake in Pictou County.

All four fires are 100 per cent contained.

Trunk 8 will be closed until 8 p.m. due to firefighting operations.

It will reopen from 8 p.m. until 8 a.m.

Restrictions on travel and activities within the woods announced last week have been lifted for Cape Breton.

The restrictions remain in place for Mainland Nova Scotia until further notice.
