People in NS will soon be paying less for power.
Nova Scotia Power has announced a decrease of just under 1% for it’s residential customers.
They say this is part of the Rate Stability plan they announced in November.
The goal of the plan is to see no general rate increases from 2017 until 2019 with fuel costs going up no more than 1.5% per year.
Small businesses are also getting a break.
Their rates will go down more than 2%.
The changes will take effect January 1st.
