Bridgewater wants to recognize some outstanding community members.
The Provincial Volunteer Awards will be held in Halifax this spring and council is looking for nominations.
Mayor David Walker says encouraging those who give back is important.
“Saying ‘thank you’ so that you know that the effort you’re putting out, the things that you’re doing, is recognized by somebody,” he says.
He says they’re looking for nominations in two categories: one for an individual volunteer and one for a family group.
The Provincial Awards Ceremony will take place on April 4.
